Growing up in New York, I graduated from Mount Saint Ursula Elementary School in the Bronx, Academy of the Sacred Heart of Mary High School in Manhattan and Marymount College in Tarrytown, New York. I continued my education, earning an M.A. from Hofstra University in Elementary Education, an A.A.S. Degree from NVCC in Real Estate and an M.Ed. in ESL from George Mason University.

In 1963, I began my teaching career which brought me to many interesting and wonderful places: Bogota, Colombia; Barcelona, Spain; Rosedale and Garden City,New York; Paris, France; Rome, Italy; Los Angeles,California and finally to Northern Virginia where I taught at South Lakes and NVCC. I currently teach Fundamentals of Commercil Real Estate for NVAR and other Boards.

My real estate career started in 1979 and I have enjoyed the past 30 years at the service of my commercial and residentil clients.It has been both challenging and personally enriching and I never tire of it!

Since I wanted to become knowledgeable in real estate, I earned NAR designations ( including Accredited Buyer Broker/ABR,Graduate Realtors Institute/GRI, GREEN,Certified International Property Specialist/CIPS, Certified Residential Specialist/CRS and Senior Real Estate Specialist/SRES) plus the At Home With Diversity Certification and Transnational Referral Certification. In addition, I completed the Accredited Staging Professional Real Estate Agent designation/ASP, Energy Smart Real Estate Professional designation and Luxury Home Marketing Specialist Certificate, Real Estate Cyberspace Specialist/RECS and am currently completing the Certified Commercial Investment Member/CCIM designation. As you can see, I believe in lifelong learning!

Over the years, I have also enjoyed volunteering my time and talent as: St. Mark's Christian Formation Center Fundraiser, INOVA Fairfax Children's Hospital Fundraiser, 2009 Fairfax County Public Schools Business and Community Advisory Board Member, Stonehurst HOA Board Member(4 years), FIABCI BOD, CREW BOD and various NVAR/VAR and NAR committees(many):Current/2009 Committees:NVAR Realtor Commercial Alliance Commercial Forum-Co-Chair, GREEN Task Force, Nominating -Chair, RPAC , Arbitration , BOD member (6 years) and current Immediate Past Chairman of the Board(11,200+ members); VAR Professional Development Advisory Group, Governance Structure Representative from NVAR & RCA Commercial Advisory Group; NAR Delegate & NAR Land Use, Property Rights and Environment Committee. I am honored to be a member of Omega Tau Rho and the 2009 VAR Honor Society. On the political front, I am the NAR Federal Political Coordinator for Congressman Gerald Connolly (11th District) and a volunteer for Bob McDonnell for Governor(VA).
